Tabitha Ho

Occupational Therapist

Tabitha graduated from Queen Margaret University in Scotland with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Occupational Therapy (First Class) in 2018. She is a registered Occupational Therapist under the Allied Health Professions Council (Singapore).

Tabitha began her career at Rainbow Centre, where she worked with children and youth aged 11 to 18 with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Cerebral Palsy, and various chromosomal conditions. During her time there, she supported students with complex sensory, communication, and behavioural needs through sensory-based interventions and close collaboration with teachers, psychologists, and speech and language therapists.

She has experience delivering therapy using the Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP) approach to promote independence in daily living, leisure, and vocational activities. Tabitha also provided handwriting intervention, supported alternative access to literacy and technology, and implemented postural care interventions for students with physical challenges. She helped to develop the school’s powered mobility service and collaborated with the assistive technology team to provide adaptive access solutions.

Beyond clinical work, Tabitha contributed to staff development and curriculum design as a member of Rainbow Centre’s Curriculum Implementation Team and Multiple Disabilities Committee. She also provided training for teachers and caregivers to better understand sensory integration, postural care, and classroom participation. As a clinical educator, she supervised occupational therapy students from the Singapore Institute of Technology and continues to provide clinical supervision to junior therapists.

Tabitha later worked at a private therapy hub serving preschools and early intervention centres, where she supported children aged 2–7 with developmental delays, handwriting challenges, and sensory-motor difficulties, as well as young adults with vocational participation needs. Her work focused on enhancing school and play participation through sensory integration, cognitive strategies, and play-based approaches. She also facilitated social and emotional learning through programmes such as the Zones of Regulation curriculum and collaborated closely with families, caregivers, and educators to build practical strategies for daily functioning and school readiness.

Tabitha adopts a child-led and strengths-based approach in her practice, believing that meaningful participation and joyful engagement form the foundation for growth and learning. She enjoys working closely with families and educators to empower children to thrive in their natural environments.

Outside of work, Tabitha enjoys climbing, hiking, and exploring new food places. She has volunteered with a paracanoe club for children with special needs and as an academic coach for children from lower-income families. Her love for movement and the outdoors continues to inspire her belief in exploration, resilience, and growth through play.
