Aoyuan Li

Speech Therapist

Aoyuan graduated with a first-class honours degree in Speech Sciences from University College London in 2015, and was a recipient of the MOH Health Science Overseas Scholarship in 2011. Aoyuan is currently registered under the Allied Health Professions Council.


For almost seven years, she worked at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), where she led the Neonatal Feeding Team. Her work primarily focused on the feeding, speech and language development of premature and medically complex infants and children. She also provided training and supervision to other speech therapists and speech therapy students.


Aoyuan’s clinical expertise extends across the developmental spectrum. She supports children from infancy through age 18, and has worked with families of children with Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), in areas such as language delay and speech sound disorders.


Aoyuan works as a therapist in preschools, and is an adjunct lecturer with the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC), as part of the Certificate in Inclusive Practice Programme. She strongly believes in building a supportive environment for children of all communication abilities, to reach for fullest potential.

As a mother of three young children, Aoyuan understands that each child is unique. She utilises her creativity to support families to navigate the challenges of speech, language, and feeding together.
