Shelly-Anne Sherwood
Physiotherapist
I’m Shelly,
A passionate neonatal and paediatric principal physiotherapist and advocate for children and their families. With over 20 years of experience across neonatal and paediatric care, my mission is to support children of all ages with evidence-based practice, expert clinical reasoning, and innovative interventions—helping them grow stronger, more confident, and more capable at every stage of development.
As the former head of acute paediatric physiotherapy at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, I’ve dedicated much of my career to caring for high-risk infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), follow up outpatient clinics, empowering parents through education, and cultivating programs that foster early neurodevelopment and bonding. Today, I continue to support not only infants, but also toddlers and older children—helping them build strength, coordination, mobility, and independence in everyday life.
Whether guiding families as they leave the NICU, supporting developmental progress in early childhood, or working with older children to achieve functional goals, my heart is rooted in helping every child reach their fullest potential.
Beyond clinical practice, I’m a lifelong learner, contributing to research, education, and advocacy in paediatric and neonatal care. At Sprouts Physiotherapy, we believe every child—like a tender sprout—thrives with the right support, at the right time.
I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s nurture your child’s potential together and celebrate every step—big or small—toward stronger, brighter, and healthier futures.
